Rape Prevention Education Whakatu Mauri Trust (RPE) is a non-profit organisationproudly providing education, advocacy and information on sexual violence preventionto schools, communities and organisations in Aotearoa/New Zealand for over 40 years. Our vision is an Aotearoa that is free from sexual violence, coercion and harm.
Due to growing demand for our services, RPE are expanding our education team nationally and are inviting expressions of interest for part-time, contract or casual educators to join our diverse team to deliver our education programmes.
We want to hear from you if:
- You have experience in group facilitation (students and adults)
- You have a background in social service, education, or health sector
- You are tertiary qualified with a qualification in education, community development, public health and social services.
- You have experience working within Māori/Pacific communities
- You have excellent communication skills.
- Not necessary but desirable if you have an understanding of the New Zealand Relationships and Sexual Education Curriculum
- You are capable facilitating programmes that educate on consent, safe & healthy relationships & preventing sexual violence.
- Hold a valid driving licence

Do you want to use your governance and financial skills to help prevent sexual violence and support thriving communities?
Rape Prevention Education – Whakatu Mauri (RPE) is seeking a Treasurer to join our committed Board.
RPE is a non-for-profit working across Auckland and nationally to:
● Promote respectful sexual relationships through prevention programmes and health promotion activities
● Influence policy and systems to support sexual violence prevention
● Partner with stakeholders to contribute to research, evaluation, and community consultation
We are funded by government contracts, philanthropic trusts, donations and fundraising, and governed by a Board of up to eight motivated people.
The Treasurer Role
As Treasurer, you will play a key role in driving our Strategic Plan and ensuring RPE remains a sustainable, thriving organisation. We are seeking an experienced individual with:
● A relevant accounting qualification and ability to read and interpret financial information
● Governance experience and strategic thinking
● Strong community networks
● Cultural competency, particularly in tikanga Māori
● A passion for our kaupapa of preventing sexual violence
Experience in the not-for-profit, public health, sexual violence prevention, or fundraising/marketing sectors is highly valued.
Board members attend monthly meetings and contribute to sub-committees between meetings. Training is provided and funded by RPE. RPE is committed to building the Māori and Pacific workforce and welcomes applications from people of diverse backgrounds.
