DEALING WITH DISCLOSURES WORKSHOP

Our Dealing with Disclosures workshop helps to educate professionals about the prevalence of sexual violence in Aotearoa, and equips them with skills on how to respond to disclosures of sexual violence.

The workshop has been delivered successfully to teachers, community leaders, entertainment production companies and health professionals across Auckland, and is flexible to meet the needs of the group. Between July 2018 and June 2019, RPE delivered 667 professional education workshops.

“Thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and utmost professionalism in delivery of a very sensitive topic.” – Professional Education workshop attendee, 2017

PORNOGRAPHY PARENT PRESENTATION

Our work with the Light Project has enabled us to extend our knowledge around porn and its effects on young people and ways we can help navigate this tricky subject.  We can talk with parents, teachers, students about how to critically think about the content and benefit from open discussions.

BALL SEASON PRESENTATION AND WORKSHOP

Consent is a buzzword used in sexual violence prevention, but what is it?  Give your students the 4 keys to consent and how to recognise the difference between lawful and ethical consent and how substances can skew those boundaries.

RESIDENT ADMINISTRATOR UNIVERSITY SKILLS AND DEVELOPMENT

Our educators also work in Tertiary spaces, including University stalls/expos and panels.  We have workshops developed to assist resident advisers on how to support students and recognising the pathways to get help.  These are not limited to RA's or students, we also delivery University Staff workshops which are well received and requested professional development across departments.

COLLABORATIONS

There have been some people who have been fundamental to the development of RPE and continue to do incredible work in the sexual violence sector. We want to acknowledge them here. Thank you so much for all you have given and all you continue to give for those who have been harmed and are seeking healing.
