SHAKTI YOUTH UNIT brings you the 3rd MYNZ 2012 regional conference. MYNZ is an annual forum specifically created to provide an open, supportive and safe space for young people aged 15-24 years of migrant and refugee, Asian, African and Middle Eastern origins to come together and talk about issues that matter to them.

This year, our theme is “Respect & Represent”. Everyone has the right to be respected. But as a young person, how do you “get” respect? What comes with respect? How do we learn to represent ourselves without disrespecting others? When violence is a reality in our lives, what role can we young people take to challenge its acceptance in our communities? From Roskill to ‘Rewa, join us for an all-day forum of workshops, listen to real role models from our own communities and be part of some youth-focused discussions. RESPECT & REPRESENT HARD!
