FebFast is an annual event co-ordinated by the New Zealand Drug Foundation. Now in it’s fifth year, participants are challenged to go the entire month of February without drinking, while at the same time raising funds to combat drug and alcohol harm.
This year, funds raised will be given to Rape Prevention Education to support its efforts in educating young adults about sexual violence. It will enable RPE to deliver more specialist sexual violence prevention programmes and initiatives that teach young people about respectful relating, personal safety, bystander intervention, identifying and dealing with potentially harmful behaviour and help seeking.
There are two ways to be a part of FebFast: participants can sign-up to be a part of the alcohol-free month by registering at www.febfast.org.nz. Each FebFaster gets their own donation page which they can use as a platform for raising funds.
Those who aren’t willing to take a month off alcohol can still help out by donating money at www.febfast.org.nz/page/febfast. Donations can be made through a FebFaster’s individual donation page or to FebFast generally.
We are in critical need of YOUR support. Please make a donation or become a volunteer today.
100% of donations go toward the running of RPE services. A tax-deductable receipt will be provided for all donations of $5 or more.
