Male Survivors Nat’l Hui 9-11 August

June 19, 2013 By (Edit)

The Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse Trust (MSSAT) National Hui is to be held at the Royal New Zealand Police College in Wellington, 9-11 August. The Hui will bring together all of the people currently associated with MSSAT, including MSSAT board members, group facilitators and managers along with Dr Kim McGregor and Louise Nicholas from Rape Prevention Education. This is the first such Hui of its kind in New Zealand. The aim of the Hui is to look at how MSSAT moves forward into the future to help support and work with male victim/survivors of sexual violence. The current resources are inadequate and we have to look at where we have come from, what has worked what hasn’t and where we want to go. The work we have done over the last few years has been seen by other countries as world-leading and we have to make sure we have the resources to continue. For more information about the Hui, please contact Ken Clearwater at Ken@survivor.org.nz.
